Harley-Davidson Museum is a museum near the center of North America, Milwaukee, Wisconsin celebrates the history of more than 100 years of Harley-Davidson motorcycle. (12,000 m2), or 130,000 square meters of three building complex on 20 acres (81,000 m2) along the edge of the Menomonee River contains more than 450 Harley-Davidson motorcycles and hundreds of thousands of artifacts from 106 years of history of Harley-Davidson Motor Company Museum is expected to attract approximately 300,000 visitors each year.


The museum was opened to the public on July 12, 2008, at 20 hectares (81,000 m2) site in the Menomonee Valley. This museum was built in the historic district of Milwaukee industry .. Before buying a Harley-Davidson of land from the city, the site was previously used by the Milwaukee Department of Public Works, Lakeshore (Sand Company), and Morton (Salt Company).


At the end of February 2006, the design for the museum was inaugurated. design was created by James Biber partner at Pentagram Architects, his team, and Michael Zweck-Bonner, an associate at Pentagram, architectural firm. design a museum for 8 years.

On June 1, 2006, Harley-Davidson began construction at $ 75 million complex, groundbreaking ceremony that included the legendary Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Scott Parker, broke ground by doing a Burnout with a Harley-Davidson XL883R Sportster, instead of the traditional golden shovel. This site includes parking for 1,000 cars and 500 motorcycles. Museum facade was also equipped with 17 feet (5.2 m)-tall.
